My passion for animals started when I was young, bringing home frogs and weird bugs as a kid, bringing farm cats into the porch to feed and clean up, and helping any animal I could find. In 2020 I got the opportunity to work for a reptile breeder a few hours away! I gratefully accepted and spent that year learning as much as I could about every species that came through the door. I got myself a few species of isopods first, and then slowly started gathering my little menagerie. I brought up to a friend that I needed a "Bug"-centric name for the business, something memorable... And so, A Bug's Wife was born. We will hopefully have some really exciting projects coming in the next few years, so stay tuned. We are female, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ owned and run!
